• As the end of an expectant mother's pregnancy draws near, she will be busy trying to prepare for when the baby comes home. In order to help her with this, you could hire an interior decorator to help her design her baby's nursery. She will welcome this fun project and she will have a chance to give her input without having to do the heavy lifting and furniture assembly by herself. It's a gift she most likely would never buy herself. And the best part is, it's a gift for both her and the baby!
  
  Another idea is to buy the mom-to-be a house cleaning service. You could buy one session, or pay for a weekly or monthly session. She will appreciate not having to do housework the last few week of her pregnancy or when she brings her baby home. Use your computer to print out coupons for your services: a free night of babysitting, a home cooked meal, a trip to the grocery store or a day of errands. Once she has her baby, she will need all of the help she can get, especially if she has other children. It can be frazzling to have a newborn at home, but you can ease the transition by offering to help in any way you can. Remember to call often and check if she wants to use the "coupons," since she may be hesitant to actually cash in on them.
