Styling a Pink and Black Party

• 1). First, focus on the food serving accessories. Arrange pink and black napkins by alternating colors in the stack and then fanning them across the buffet table. Pink and black plates and cups should also be stacked in alternating colors. Keep the colors solid and avoid excessive patterning in the serving ware to create a more basic, stylish look.
  
  
• 2). Next, focus on the food. Place bowls of pink and black jelly beans on the food table and other surfaces around the party area. Make pink ice cream by mixing a few drops of food coloring in vanilla ice cream. For an extra treat, blend the pink ice cream and mix with crushed strawberries to create pink smoothies.
  
  
• 3). Accents are the key to a successful party decor. Place a vase of pink roses in a central location and accent the vase with black polka dot ribbon. Tie pink and black balloons to bring the color up and into the walls. Use pink and black fabrics to create festoon arrangements for stair banisters, doorways, chair hangers or wall hangings. Place pink and black candles on mirrored charger plates and light, but be sure these are in a safe area.

Decorate the entry hall or area of the party home, not just the main room where the party is happening. And be sure to add some of the decor accents in the kitchen as well, as many party guests often end up in that part of the house.
