Are you having problems dealing with cat house training? If so, then one of the reasons is that you have to identify the cause of it.
But the toughest part is figuring it out.
So read on how to figure it out properly.
Cats are extremely sensitive to change so if there is a change in the behavior of your cat, something major is wrong with your cat so take note.
For example, your cat suddenly stopped going to the litter box.
So your aim is to find out what's wrong or what is being changed.
You can ponder about a few things by asking yourself some cat house training questions.
Question #1 - Roughly when did this kind of changed behavior started? Question #2 - Have you checked to see that it is not Urinary Tract Infection because it is the #1 most common cause for sudden litter box avoidance.
Question #3 - Have anything in your house changed during that period of time? Your habits, your furniture, etc.
Nothing must be left out no matter how small it is.
Brainstorming question #1 - Have you move to a new house recently? Brainstorming question #2 - Did you introduced a new pet into your house recently? Brainstorming question #3 - Have you been moving the litter box? Brainstorming question #4 - Have you been moving your furniture? Brainstorming question #5 - Are you sure that this is cat that changed behavior suddenly? Brainstorming question #6 - Are you sure there isn't any inter-cat tension between your cats? This inter-cat tension is much harder to spot as it is not outwardly shown by your cats.
Instead, one of your cat might be silently bullying another.
If you know which cat is the one that changed behavior suddenly, just keep a lookout to see if there are any other cats spending extra time at his particular litter box.
But if you have any covered litter boxes, see if there is any cats that sit on top of it.
One way that is guaranteed to retrain your stubborn cat is to put him into a nearly empty room for a day or two.
Just give him a few toys, water, a bed, a scratching post and a litter box.
Only use this technique for cat house training and do not give complete freedom to your cats to roam your house until they are properly trained.
