What You Can Do to Stop Your Anxiety Attacks

Having an anxiety or panic attack can often seem like a heart attack, which is what people commonly mistake them for.
While a panic attack can seem very frightening, it differs greatly from a heart attack.
Anxiety attacks have more to do with your mind and emotions rather than your physical well-being.
When you experience the shaking, nausea, dizziness, and rapid heart beat that comes along with having an anxiety attack, you need to know how to go about getting it under control before it starts.
One way to do that is to start thinking of different ways of calming yourself down.
People have different ways of doing this, some slowly count to ten in their mind or aloud, some picture a relaxing mental image that calms them down, and some people use their breathing to get themselves under control.
Doing any of these things can really make a difference when you start to feel like you can't handle whatever situation you are in.
Half the battle of getting your anxiety attacks under control is to know what at the center of everything you are the one in control of your body.
As long as you remember that fact and keep it in mind, you are well on your way.
You can also use certain medications prescribed by a doctor that can help you start to feel better as well.
These medications make it easier for you to become relaxed and think clearly so know what to do before your symptoms start getting worse.
