Outback Exploration

• Many girls will appreciate the opportunity to explore in an outback camping party. Hire a guide or go to a camp with an experienced hiker who can show you secluded trails, meadows and mountain peaks beyond the reach of campers who stay on frequently traveled paths or within the parameters of commercial campsites. For example, the experience will be enriched by exploring a local state park, especially if you request suggestions for obscure outback-camping spots at the visitor’s center. The girls will feel self-sufficient and rugged if you all carry your own tents, bedding and water -- as well as party food such as hot dogs -- in backpacks on your exploration. The proximity of your car will enhance the festive mood of the camping party, since you can turn up the volume and play music while you set up camp and eat dinner. If your camping party is in recognition of a birthday, campers will be eager to bring gifts in the car and give them to the guest of honor around a cozy campfire. The campers will be excited to find hidden bags of party favors amongst the camping essentials. The first team to find all of the hidden items gets the first round of s’mores.
