Spa

• Set up a spa at your house to pamper the girls. Soak their hands and feet in bowls of water for manicures and pedicure. Make special drinks for the girls such as sparkling lemonade so the girls feel pampered. During the manicures and pedicures create a fashion quiz for the girls to take. Ask questions like, "When were bell bottoms popular?" or "In what decade were neon colors popular?"
  
  

Clothing

• Give each girl a small budget, such as $10, to go shopping at a thrift store. Give the girls 15 to 30 minutes in the thrift store to shop for a new look. If desired, the girls can work in pairs to find the best outfit for one another. If the girls do not finish in the given amount of time, they must leave the store with what they have found.
  
  

Hair and Makeup

• Hang pictures clipped from a magazine of current hair and makeup styles. Have the girls select their favorites, then give each girl a large piece of poster board to glue her chosen images of hair and makeup. After the girls are finished assembling their hair and makeup choices, start the makeovers based on their selections. Have a few adults who are skilled at hair and makeup to help with the makeovers.
  
  

Completed Makeovers

• After the spa, clothing, hair and makeup makeovers are complete, have the girls show off their new styles to one another. Create a runway for the girls to walk on. Each girl should vote who on who has the best makeover or who looks the most different. Consider taking before and after pictures against a white wall. The girls can view these pictures side by side on the computer.
