How to Clear in Badminton
- 1). Instruct your practice partner to lob the birdie over the net in your direction.
- 2). Move backwards about two or three steps while keeping your balance. You want to extend both arms out wide.
- 3). Swing your racket at the birdie when it is still flying high in the air. It should be above your head when you take the swing. Follow through with your arms.
- 4). Move back to your original position.
- 1). Have your partner hit the birdie toward you so that the birdie is dropping as it comes to you.
- 2). Move forward toward the birdie, spreading your legs wide when you reach it.
- 3). Reach your racket out to meet the birdie, and swing your racket in an upward motion.
- 4). Move your wrist to determine the angle and the location you want the birdie to travel to.
- 5). Return to your original spot.
