How to Kill Odor on the Basement Cement After Carpet Removal
- 1). Put on eye goggles, rubber gloves and a dust mask to protect yourself from dirt and cleaning materials. Sweep the cement floor.
- 2). Add 2 tbsp. of liquid laundry detergent or dish detergent to a mop bucket, then fill with a gallon of hot water.
- 3). Dip a mop into the cleaning mixture and scrub the entire cement floor. Dump out the water and rinse the mop and bucket.
- 4). Fill the mop bucket with clean rinse water. Mop the cement floor with the water to remove excess detergent.
- 5). Pour out the rinse water. Refill the mop bucket with 1 gallon of warm water and 1 cup of white distilled vinegar.
- 6). Mop this solution over the floor. Allow the floor to air-dry when you are finished.
