    Costume Party

    • Costume parties are a blast, whether for Halloween or just for fun. Send out party invitations for your costume party and let guests know they should arrive in costume. Encourage simple costumes or have them go all out. Have a few costume pieces on hand in case someone forgets -- a collection of jewelry and dresses for the girls and a pirate hat and eye patch for the boys. Your twins will love being able to express themselves, and the pictures you take will be memorable.

    Pizza Party

    • Put on a pizza party for your children by setting up a pizza-making station with pre-made personal-size crusts, pizza sauce, shredded cheese and toppings. Have the children assemble their pizzas (you may need to help) and start baking them during the opening of gifts. Serve them their pizza with your twins' favorite drinks. If you have guests with food allergies or other issues, provide alternative ingredients, such as gluten-free crust or lactose-free cheese, and avoid cross-contaminating by washing your hands and bakeware thoroughly before handling the special pizzas.

    Craft Party

    • Provide a big selection of craft supplies for a fun, artistic birthday party. Purchase items such as construction paper, pompoms, googly eyes, glue sticks (or regular glue, if you're feeling brave), craft sticks, foam stickers, safety scissors, a hole punch and ribbon. Between present opening and cake eating, clear your kitchen table completely and set up the children with the crafting supplies in the center. Keep a close watch on the scissors so they aren't used improperly; providing safety scissors will help prevent problems.

    Movie Party

    • A movie party is simple to create. Pick a movie both of your children like (it may be hard to reach a consensus, so start quizzing them several weeks before their birthday). Buy decorations, plates and cups that reflect the movie's theme, and make it easier on yourself by getting several boxes of microwave popcorn. Pop the popcorn during the first part of the party and set the children up around the TV with their own bowls of popcorn.
