How to Put Up Signs With Suction Cups
- 1). Situate the sign against a clean, dry, smooth non-porous surface. Get it as close to how you want it to hang as possible; it may help to have someone else hold the sign for you while you stand back a few steps to see if it's lined up properly.
- 2). Place the sign evenly against the surface it's supposed to hang from. Make sure that all the suction cups on the sign--there may be one in each corner, one in each upper corner, or just one in the upper middle--contact the hanging surface evenly.
- 3). Press down firmly on the middle of each of the suction cups in turn, squashing each one against the mounting surface. The suction cup may make a "burping" sound as it seals. Check to make sure that the middle of each suction cup stays close to the hanging surface; this indicates a good seal. If any of the suction cups won't seal, add just a touch of dampness in the center of the cup--a quick dab with the corner of a rag will do it, just make sure you don't get the edges of the cup wet--and try again.
