The author has invented plenty of imaginary elements like the non-existent "Platform 9¾ at King Cross railway station in London, with "Muggles" (non-magical people), and the "sorting hat" which daintily sits on the stool and awaits every new Hogwatarian for the sorting ceremony with its lilting song.
Harry Potter's expedition to save the philosophers stone from the nefarious Voldemort forms the main crux of the story.
Harry Potter's lighter moments begins when he finds his new friends Ronald Wesley and Hermione Granger at the atypical school which he later loves more than anything.
This book has made its mark and stands strong espousing the following six sequels in line.
For anyone who reads the book for the first time, is sure to take a journey to the land of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and its well furnished girls/boys dormitory.
Harry's experience in the busy Diagon alley where people are gushing to buy new spell books, robes, wands and their owls and feeling of warmth when he holds his brand knew phoenix feather wand for the first time makes the reader feel the same jolt in stomach as Harry.
