Costa Rica Vacations In Guanacaste Province
Costa Rica right around the corner!
My family and I just came back from the most amazing Costa Rica vacations [http://www.sunsetscostarica.com/] Guanacaste province in Costa Rica was our selected destination and our first stop there was the local ice cream shop where we enjoyed a "Copo de Nieve"; I had to ask how to prepare them because they were just delicious and despite the manager of the store did not speak much English he did his best in order to illustrate the process for us.
After refreshing our mouths with a local delicacy we headed to "Brazilito Downtown" only to find out that we were not along... surprise!! A local catholic celebration was taking place that same week... The place was packed out with souvenir shops and food stands.
Just entering our hotel the clerk screams "You must be the Wilson family!" and approached us as if we were the oldest friends... Jajaja I laughed at first but then I noticed that is just the way Costa Rican people are. - Always friendly and smiling...
Although we decided to stay in a small hotel the rooms were amazing and had a breathtaking ocean view. After unpacking we walked our way to "Brazilito Beach" (just 100 meters away) there we as family had the greatest time building sandcastles and swimming.
But that wasn't it because we also visited the sister beach of Brazilito, "Conchal Beach" these tow beaches are separated by a rock formation but despite they are next to each other they are totally different Conchal's sand is composed by smashed shells... I felt like walking over diamonds.
During night the residents of Brazilito had a carnival at the central community park and of course we couldn't miss it. Bull riding was especially fun and even my husband was ready to give it a try before I gave him my usual "over my dead body eyes" jajaja...
The next day of our Costa Rica vacations we went to visit another well recommended place "Flamingo Beach" just 10 miles away from Brazilito and again the beach was different in every aspect to Brazilito and Conchal. Sailing, fishing, and many other exciting water sports seemed to be widely practiced at this beach. We decided to seat back and relax as we were a bit tired from last night's celebration. We had lunch a headed back to the hotel.
Something I can say about Costa Rica is that everything is "just around the corner" and even 100 meters can make difference between adventure and relaxation... Definitely a must visit place for families! Costa Rica vacations is great for all!
