How Do the Negotiations at Priceline Work?
- At Priceline, you can negotiate for costs of airfare, hotels, rental cars, cruises, vacation packages and tours and attractions. You can negotiate for both domestic and international travel as well as hotel stays and other vacations anywhere in the world.
- Priceline will ask you to enter your details, such as departure and arrival airports, destination city and dates of travel. If you are negotiating for a hotel room, you will indicate the lowest "star level" you are willing to accept. Star levels indicate amenities like indoor or outdoor entry, restaurants on the premises or room service.
Priceline suggests you do your homework, find out what the lowest published fares are, then make a reasonable offer based on the highest amount you are willing to pay. You must enter your credit card information, and you will be charged immediately if your bid is accepted. If your bid is rejected, you have the option to try again, raise the bid or change any or all of the details. - Your non-refundable bid may include flights that originate or land very early in the morning or very late at night and may include one or more layovers. Hotels may have very low traveler ratings or be located in an undesirable part of the city.
