    • 1). Pour 3 percent hydrogen peroxide into a large plastic container that has a lid. Pour enough hydrogen peroxide to submerge the piece you want to whiten. Hydrogen peroxide is a bleaching agent that is safe for Ironstone China.

    • 2). Place the stained china piece into the container. Seal the container lid tightly.

    • 3). Leave the china soaking in the hydrogen peroxide for several days.

    • 4). Remove the piece from the container. Place it in strong direct sunlight for a few days or until the stain is gone or less noticeable.

    • 5). Repeat Steps 1 to 4 until the stain is gone.

    • 6). Wash the piece with mild dish-washing soap, a sponge and warm water to remove any trace of the hydrogen peroxide.

    • 7). Dry completely with a dish cloth and your china is ready to use or store.
