How to Clean Granite Staining
- 1). Address spills as soon as they occur. Wipe them up with paper towel or a micro-fiber cleaning cloth. If spill is not liquid, sweep up the debris with broom and dust pan.
- 2). Sweep the entire surface of granite flooring to remove dirt and debris that may scratch the stain.
- 3). Dilute granite-safe stone cleaner in warm water, according to the manufacturer's specifications. Use a mop to apply the cleaner to granite flooring or a clean sponge to wipe down counter tops.
- 4). Thoroughly rinse your mop or sponge and redampen. Mop or wipe the granite to remove any excess cleaner residue.
- 5). Dry the granite floor or counter top with a dry mop or micro-fiber cloth.
