How to Celebrate Coworkers' Birthdays
- 1). Throw a small potluck party during your lunch break. Have all of the co-workers -- excluding the honoree -- bring in a festive food item, such as cake and pizza. Set up some streamers and balloons to give the workplace a festive look. Be sure to sing "Happy Birthday."
- 2). Plan a trip to a restaurant or bar after work hours. Invite your fellow coworkers to come along. Treat the birthday honoree to a meal or a drink. As a surprise, have the wait staff sing "Happy Birthday."
- 3). Ask all of your coworkers to chip in a few dollars to buy the birthday honoree a present. You can buy her something she constantly says she wants or something suitable for the work you all do. Wrap the present and hide it somewhere she frequents at work. Before she comes to work, have all the coworkers hide, as well. As soon as she stumbles upon the present, have everyone jump up and yell "Surprise."
- 4). Plan a weekend picnic. Invite the birthday honoree, along with any family members of his, as well as your coworkers to a park. Spend the afternoon playing volleyball, eating cake and barbecuing.
