How to Troubleshoot a Bissell Proheat Multi Surface 2X

    Solution Not Picked up by Cleaner

    • 1). Check the ReadyTools dial. Set the dial to either "Tools" or "Floor Cleaning."

    • 2). Remove the water tank. The tanks may not be correctly seated. Re-seat the water tank. Remove the formula tank. Re-seat the formula tank. Ensure both tanks of the Bissell ProHeat Multi Surface 2X floor cleaning system are correctly and fully seated.

    • 3). Check the fluid level in the water tank. One or both of the tanks may be empty. Fill with hot tap water if needed. Check the fluid level of the cleaning formula tank. Fill with Bissell cleaning formula if needed.

    Other Issues

    • 1). Turn the heater switch to the "On" position. If the heater "Ready" light does not turn on, the heater and power switches may not be turned on. Turn the power switch to the "On" position.

    • 2). Check the water and formula tanks if the amount of spray is reduced or no spray is coming out. Fill the water bladder with hot tap water. Fill the formula tank with Bissell cleaning formula.

    • 3). Turn the power off. The spray may not come out if the tank is not correctly seated. Remove the water tank. Re-seat the water tank, ensuring it is correctly positioned.

    • 4). Turn the power off. The sprayer will not work if the pump has lost its prime. Turn the power on. Wait 60 seconds. Depress the trigger.

    • 5). Step on the recline pedal. If the brushes are not turning, the unit may not be in the correct position. Recline the Bissell ProHeat Multi Surface 2X floor cleaning system unit backward.
