Apple iPhone 4 Review - Digital Camera, HD Recording, and Screen Resolution

The iPhone has been heavily anticipated for almost a year now.
With early promises of a better screen resolution, good digital camera, as well as high-definition recording capability, you can safely say there were a lot of expectations from Apple.
Here is a hands-on breakdown of the main categories which the new iPhone was upgraded.
There are a lot of little things as well, but the following is what really sets it apart from the previous models of iPhone.
Screen Resolution The new iPhone screen uses what apple calls the Retina display.
It boasts a 960 x 640 pixel resolution as well.
The typical contrast ratio is 800:1 and it has a fingerprint resistant coating on the front and the back of the phone.
This really does help prevent the unavoidable smudges you find on many other touch screens.
On paper the iPhone screen seems to be great, but how does it do in real life? It is fabulous.
The screen in no way disappoints.
It actually makes a user want to refrain from putting a protective screen on it because the colors are so vibrant.
Compared to the older iPhone models, the new one has a much better screen.
Digital Camera The new digital camera found in the phone is listed as 5 megapixel.
When comparing it side by side with a standard point and shoot 10 megapixel, it is a very decent adversary.
While the point and shoot does seem a little clearer, the iPhone camera makes up for since you do not have to carry a separate device.
One of the best things about having a quality digital camera right on the phone is that you can upload to social websites, Picasa, Photobucket, etc right from the handset.
Video Recording - HD The video recording is truly remarkable when you think about how small the phone actually is.
When compared side by side with the FLIP, any disparity is made up by the fact that it is attached to your iPhone.
As mentioned above when referring to the digital camera feature, you are able to upload directly to YouTube and other media sites directly from the phone.
Overall, the iPhone 4 allows you to take 3 separate devices you would have to carry around and condenses it into one, easy to use device, and packages a bunch of new features into it.
