USMC Boot Camp Preparation
USMC boot camp will challenge you - both mentally and physically like nothing you have ever done.

Prepare for Marine Corp Boot Camp by getting your body into shape.
Start exercising TODAY.
Get up early (like at the crack of dawn - get used to it), and go for a run.
When you get home, do some sit-ups and pull ups for about 30 minutes.
Take a short rest and go for a swim at your local swimming pool.
Swim laps for about 45 minutes.
Eat lunch, and do it all over again.
Try to start this at least 6 weeks before your departure.
Study and Memorize some important stuff BEFORE you leave Here's what you need to memorize: 11 General Orders for a Sentry, Marines Hymn, Code of conduct, 11 General Orders for a Sentry, USMC Core Values, M16a4 Rifle characteristics, What you should leave at home when going to USMC boot camp Don't take any over the counter drugs with you.
If you have an allergy and take an over-the-counter drug, contact your doctor and get a prescription.
You will be further evaluated by boot camp doctors who will issue you a military prescription (assuming that they think that you legitimately need it).
Also, you can't bring your contacts with you - make sure that you have a good eyeglass prescription, however you will be issued a pair of military eye glasses - but make sure that the ones that you bring work for you until you receive your final issue as it could take a couple of weeks.
