How to Relieve Fever Through Acupressure
- 1). Lay your hand out flat in front of you with your palm facing the ceiling. Use your thumb to apply pressure at the base of your ring finger, and continue to apply pressure as you rub along the finger to the tip. Start again at the base of the finger and repeat, always massaging in one direction.
- 2). Set your arm on a flat surface so that your palm is open toward the ceiling. Starting at your wrist, massage the center of your arm in a straight line up to your elbow; massage only from your wrist to your elbow.
- 3). Keep your arm extended, and massage the outer edge of your arm--the same side as the pinky--from your wrist to your elbow. Always do this from the wrist to the elbow; never go back in the opposite direction.
- 4). Place your pointer fingers and middle fingers on each side of your head, finding the depression of your temple at the outer end of your eyebrows. Massage the temples in slow circles, applying slight pressure.
- 5). Place your fingers behind your head, at the base of your neck, and find the indents on each side of the spine below your skull. Massage these points simultaneously in circles.
