With the still-developing news of a horrific car bombing in Oslo and the mindless slaughter of teenagers at Utoya, Jeremiah Wright might say that Norwegian chickens have come home to roost, except that the Norwegian chickens haven't launched what Wright would call unprovoked wars and the Norden nations have been damned generous beyond comprehension with their influx of Islamic immigrants.
Preliminary reports indicate at least 9-10 people were killed, 15 injured in the explosion at the Norwegian prime minister's Oslo office but many victims are still trapped in the rubble. An additional eighty, some trying to swim away for their lives, were murdered by a gunman masquerading as a police officer at the Labor Party youth camp in apparently coordinated attacks.
The coordinators seem to have been Islamic jihadists: €A terror group, Ansar al-Jihad al-Alami, or the Helpers of the Global Jihad, issued a statement claiming responsibility for the attack, . . . The message said the attack was a response to Norwegian forces' presence in Afghanistan and to unspecified insults to the Prophet Muhammad.€
Peace-loving Norway maintains a very minimal presence in the War on Terror and in the Afghanistan war so the chief causes of the attacks must are clearly those €unspecified insults to the Prophet,€ or a reflection of the insanity of Islamic militants. They did it because they could and they needed no further excuse than their jihad.
The horror of the assaults must weigh heavily on a Norweigian populace unaccustomed to violence on their soil, just as it affected their neighbors in equally-peaceful Sweden when the prime minister bemoaned the Stockholm terror bombing last December as €unacceptable€ in view of Sweden's cultural diversity and €open scociety.€
In the wake of the London underground-bus attacks of 2005 and a number of foiled bombings and threats since, Britishers must feel much the same way as should Parisians after frequent thwarted Islamic attacks and Spaniards following the devastating 2004 Madrid train bombings which effectively caused Spain to unilaterally withdraw from the War on Terror.
After all, they and other European nations have welcomed Muslims from Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Kenya, Somalia et al. Why would those immigrants who have been afforded generous state benefits, jobs, welfare, even scholarships now turn on them?
Why, indeed.
Regrettably and despite the sorry lessons Europe should have learned from Neville Chamberlain, appeasement of maniacal enemies only works to the benefit of the maniacs. Chamberlain's mindless pursuit of €peace for our time€ by appeasing Hitler directly led to World War II and the deaths of 60 million inhabitants of our planet.
Likewise, appeasing Muslims with jobs and benefits, all in the interests of Sweden's pipedream of openness and diversity, is a policy doomed to fail and the most recent bombing and shooting in Denmark attest to that failure. Islam has been at war with the West for decades and no amount of appeasement will dissuade Islamists from their dedication to waging unrelenting jihad.
Without mitigating what happened in Oslo and Utoya, those atrocites don't even vaguely compare with America's experience on September 11th, 2001. That would be the good news. The bad news is that Europe€"and America€"€ain't seen nothing yet.€ Perhaps when we do, we will cease believing in Obama's deadly charade that there is no war with Islam.
Welcome to the real world, Oslo. It has the potential of becoming a truly ugly world which can become much uglier should we surrender to Islam.
