Hasbro Transformers Games
- Transformers began as action figure toys created by Hasbro, though their popularity later led to television shows and movies. The Transformers are robots from another planet who start out looking like recognizable objects before transforming into giant, armed figures. If you are a fan of Hasbro's Transformers, you can try your hand at multiple video games featuring the familiar alien robots.
- Atari released the video game "Transformers" exclusively for Sony's PlayStation 2 console in May of 2004. Created by Melbourne House, this toy-based game is rated suitable for players 13 and over. The game focuses on the battle between the two main robot factions, the Autobots and the Decepticons. They both discover a third group that they thought was extinct, the Mini-Cons. You can switch between robots and vehicles to work through the unfolding mystery of the storyline.
- Activision released the action game "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" for PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable (PSP), Nintendo Wii, and Xbox 360 in June of 2009. The game was made by Luxoflux Corporation and is rated acceptable for those 13 and up. "Revenge of the Fallen" is based on the movie of the same name. You must fight against the evil Decepticon robots to keep a powerful relic out of their hands.
- Activision released the game "Transformers: War for Cybertron" for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in June of 2010. High Moon Studios developed "War for Cybertron," and the game is rated appropriate for those 13 and over. You must play two different sections of the game, one as the villains and one as the heroes. The game pits faction leaders Optimus Prime and Megatron against one another, and you must decide what side to fall on.
- Activision released the action and adventure title "Transformers: The Game" for Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable (PSP), and Xbox 360 in June of 2007. Made by Traveller's Tales, the game is rated suitable for those at least 13 years old. In "Transformers: The Game," you can simulate the experience of the first "Transformers" movie. Rather than offering only one path, the game lets you choose either side of the robot war.
