How to Individually Thread the Wires on a Power Supply
- 1). Trace each wire on the existing power supply. Write the name of the device each wire powers on a sticky flag and stick it to the wire. Continue to trace each wire as you disconnect it from the existing power supply.
- 2). Pull the wires aside and lay them over the computer case to keep them out of the way. Lift the old power supply out of the computer case and set the new one in place.
- 3). Grasp the first wire and connect it to the next power supply using the flags as your guide. Continue connecting the wires until they are connected to all of the devices inside your PC.
