The San Francisco Bay Area is an eclectic mix of urban cityscapes and open space parkland. San Francisco, with its iconic Golden Gate Bridge and Golden Gate Park, is a big draw. The mild Mediterranean climate makes the Bay Area a year round destination for hiking in the regional parks, strolling around Lake Merritt in Oakland, or even taking a ferry ride out to the infamous Alcatraz Island. - Though driving an RV through most parts of San Francisco can be a logistical nightmare, the Candlestick RV Park gives you somewhere to park your rig while you explore the city. If you don't feel like driving your towed vehicle or your pick-up truck, a shuttle service is available. First-time visitors to the city might find the shuttle a more relaxing option.
Candlestick RV Park is south of downtown near the 49ers football stadium. It offers 165 paved sites, 11 of which are pull-throughs. The back-in sites are 30 feet long and the pull-throughs are 47 feet. All sites have room for slide-outs. Full hook-ups are available at all sites with either 30- or 50-amp electrical outlets. Wireless Internet is available and pets are welcome.
Park amenities include showers, restrooms, laundry, public phone, a grocery store and an ATM machine. Propane and RV supplies are available onsite. The park has a game room with a big screen TV and an RV washing facility.
