    • 1). Insert the Windows XP CD into the computer.

    • 2). Restart the laptop. Click any key to boot from CD.

    • 3). Press "Enter" to move past the initial screen then press "F8" to accept the license terms.

    • 4). Press "D" to delete the existing partition containing Vista. Press "C" to create a new partition for XP using all of your available drive space.

    • 5). Select the "NTFS" file system and press "Enter." This will begin the automated installation.

    • 6). Enter your product key, computer information, and network information when prompted to complete the install.
