If there's a drawback to purchasing the Unrated 2-Disc version of "Mr and Mrs Smith" on DVD it's that the film just hit stores by way of a basic DVD edition six months ago. Guide Review - "Mr and Mrs Smith" Unrated 2-Disc Collector's Edition DVD

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt ignite onscreen in the action/comedy/thriller "Mr and Mrs Smith," directed by Doug Liman and written by Simon Kinberg. A fast-paced thriller with terrific action scenes and equally compelling emotional moments, "Mr and Mrs Smith" offers something (aside from eye candy) for both sexes.

The story follows a married couple going through counseling because their relationship has become strained.

They're pleasant enough to one another but it feels as though they're holding back their true feelings. It turns out they really are...

Unbeknownst to each other, Mr Smith and Mrs Smith are both paid assassins working for opposing organizations. After six years of marriage, their true occupations are exposed when they discover they are each other's next big job.

The Bonus Features

There's enough goodies included in this 2-disc special edition to keep you occupied for hours. Although I'm usually not a big fan of commentary tracks with just the director talking, Doug Liman's explanation of why he agreed to a director's cut and what was happening on the set throughout the shoot is definitely worth sitting through.
