How to Open a Key Lock Box
- 1). Go to the location where the key lock box is. If this is in your home than you don't have far to travel, however, if it is at a bank, be sure to bring some an I.D., such as a driver's license, so you can properly identify yourself.
- 2). Follow the bank representative into the safety deposit box location. They most likely are going to show you where your box is (if you don't know or remember) and use their key to unlock the box.
- 3). Insert your key into the lock in the key lock box. Turn the key until you hear the lock open. If it is a small key lock box that you can hold in your hands you should be able to feel the lock open also.
- 4). Lift the lid up on the key lock box. If you have a safety deposit box you may need to pull out your shelf from the lock and then open the lid.
- 5). Close the lid once you are done with the box. Turn the key back to lock the box. You may want to check the lid by lifting up on it to make sure it is locked properly.
