Overcoming Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome

103 9
Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome has been around as long as tubal ligations have been being performed.
Women may begin to notice differences in their body's immediately after they have had their tubes tied.
At first they will just think that it is due to the surgery itself or just giving birth.
They figure it is their body trying to get back to normal and heal.
What many women will notice is that instead of getting better the problems seem to get worse and new problems crop up.
Some of the first symptoms that seem to pop up are major differences in their periods.
Periods that were regular will begin to get erratic and much heavier.
Some women will get to the point where they are literally unable to get out bed.
This not only makes it tough for taking care of family but also to get to their jobs.
There have been more than a few women that have had to take numerous days out of the work.
Trying to take care of children is nearly impossible when suffering like this.
Not all women are able to get help to come into the house to help with the children.
Many mothers begin to feel very guilty that they are not able to take care of their kids the way they were able to before the ligation.
Another symptom that many women suffering with PTLS speak about is the mood swings.
It is not uncommon to have mood swings with the normal PMS but the mood swings with Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome seem to be much worse.
A woman can be happy one minute and furious the next.
The scariest thing is that many times the victim of these moods has no idea what is setting them off.
She can be fine with her family and enjoying her time and then within a matter of minutes she is lashing out in anger.
Many will say that they just do not feel like themselves and want the "old" person back.
It seems that the most frustrating thing when facing Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome is that there are very few doctors who believe this happens.
A woman will see her physician and be told that it is just her body changing.
She leaves the doctor's office frustrated and just wanting someone to listen and believe what she has to say and what she is feeling.
For those suffering with Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome there is something that helps.
Women around the world have been having great success with tubal ligation reversal surgery.
With this surgery the fallopian tubes that were blocked or "tied" are repaired.
This seems to allow the body to begin to function as it did before the tubal ligation.
Women note that improvements are seen almost immediately following the surgery.
With the outpatient low-cost reversal surgeries being offered many are back to their former selves in just a couple of weeks.
If you or someone you know is suffering with Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome it is important to know that help is available.
