David Slade Takes on Director Duties in "30 Days of Night"
Sep 7, 2005 - Columbia Pictures has tapped David Slade ("Hard Candy") to direct the horror movie, "30 Days of Night," based on the comic book series by Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith.
"30 Days of Night" takes place in Barrow, Alaska, a small town cloaked in darkness for much of the winter. An evil invades the town and forces the husband and wife team of sheriff and deputy to choose between saving their own lives or saving their town.
"30 Days of Night" will be produced by Ghost House Pictures' founders Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert. There's no news yet on casting or when production will begin.
