How to Make a Bridal Bouquet With Dahlias
- 1). Bundle the 24 dahlias together evenly in your hand. Snip off the bottom inch of the stems to make them even. Loop a rubber band around the center of the stem bundle to hold the flowers in place.
Dahlia colors vary immensely, so choose colors that accentuate your wedding theme and apparel. - 2). Select three pieces of foliage to accent your dahlia bridal bouquet. Golden pothos vines pair well with dahlias, as do spikes of eucalyptus. Insert these pieces into the rubber band around the bouquet to frame the colored blossoms.
- 3). Snip a length of silk ribbon from a roll in a color that coordinates with your bouquet and wedding theme. Use a wide gauge ribbon of 1 inch width. Make the length between 18 and 24 inches long. You can make the length longer if you want the bow tendrils to drape your arms as you hold it.
- 4). Tie the ribbon into a simple bow around the rubber banded part of the bouquet stems.
- 5). Embellish your dahlia bridal bouquet with accents that correspond with your wedding. If your wedding has a glamorous, princess-styled theme, you can spray glitter over parts of the blossoms for added glitz. You can also glue sequins, one-by-one, to the petals for a texture pattern.
