    • 1). Choosing the right centerpiece for your big day is a vital part to the reception and ceremony. You will want to coordinate the centerpiece with the wedding and the hall.

    • 2). Simple centerpiece ideas start with candles. Decide if you want to use them. Some nice candle centerpiece ideas are a glass vase filled with water and put 2 or 3 floating candles in it. Then decorate the vase with some wine vines or some craft to add color. Then just sprinkle some flower pedals around the base of the vase on the table; stones or grapes work too.

    • 3). If you don't want to use candles the other option is a to use a shrub of some sort and decorate it with lights. Sometimes you can even use battery operated candles in the shrub or as decor in the branches or on the tables.

    • 4). If you prefer flowers that are alive then coordinate them with the theme/colors of the wedding. Preferably the bridesmaid dresses or the decor of the hall. Make sure they compliment each other. Vase selection for the flower is determined by the size of the flower used. Wide bushy flower arrangements need a big square bowl/dish where as tall lanky flowers should use tall thin vases.

    • 5). Another idea is to make your own lighted tree/shrub with simple crafts from stores like Michaels. A little more time consuming but saves a ton of money. Try decorating wine bottles with x-mas lights inside them by drilling a hole through the side of the bottle for the cords and plug them in. Then decorate the bottle with ribbons and grapes and other crafty decor.

    • 6). Be creative and festive with whatever you do. If you really want to save money, a lot of flower shops will let you rent your centerpieces, look into it. This way you can avoid having a ton of dead flowers laying around.
