How to Get Sponsored by Red Bull for Skateboarding

    • 1). Hone your skating skills until you have some good tricks that are certain to impress.

    • 2). Call a buddy and ask him to film you while you are ripping one of your legendary jam sessions. Take hours of footage if possible, and make sure you have caught your absolute best shots or your best tricks. You will want at least a ½ hour of usable footage. Make sure to get a shot of you drinking red bull between tricks.

    • 3). Film an expert video. Create an opening that has some flash, good graphics and then gets to the point. Include the best shots you have; put them before other less exciting tricks that are technical in nature so as to the keep the viewers interest. Show a range of technical, ramp and street tricks--just your most impressive stuff.

    • 4). Compose a short biographical sketch about yourself--what you like to do and why Red Bull should sponsor you. Also include a list of your recent sponsorship and all your competition wins.

    • 5). Take your video to a professional editor so shecan clean it up, add graphics or do whatever else you want to your video. It should be tight, meaning no gaps between tricks, and include interesting visual shots from different angles. Don't go overboard on flash--they want to see how you skate.

    • 6). Mail the video to Red Bull with a letter expressing your interest in Red Bull sponsorship and a little about your background. Include a resume of tournament wins and highlights from your career. Also tell them how your skateboarding can help sell their product.

    • 7). Sign up for some competitions, in amateur events
