How to Build an Inexpensive Fire pit
- 1). Choose a location.
- make sure the spot is away from trees or structures
- recommend clear for 100 feet around the pit
- make sure there are not roots or underground stone. - 2). Mark your pit location.
- recommend a four foot radius
- this will allow for a average pieces of wood to be burned safely. - 3). Dig the circular pit.
- recommend the depth be at least 1 to 2 feet in depth. This will allow the pit to burn safely if the wind is blowing.
- this will also allow you to place a grate over the pit for outdoor cooking.
- after the pit is dug place stone or brick around the pit. I prefer using cement blocks, they are cheaper and they provide a level base around the pit.
- they pit is ready to go.
