As regular traveler, I don't always have the time to do the shopping I need to do. Airports have really stepped up their retail games, so I always check out what they have whenever I have a layover.  I have shopped in airports around the globe, and below are another six of my favorites.

1. Pittsburgh International Airport

Back in the day when it was still a hub for US Airways, the facility decided to go all out and revamp its retail concessions, creating the Air Mall. Some of my favorite shops are Johnston & Murphy for men's accessories, Creative Kidstuff. for toys and Tumi for luggage and travel accessories.More »

2. Incheon International Airport

This airport went all out to attract all the major luxury brands to the facility, including Channel, Burberry, Christian Dior, Missoni, Guess, Max Mara, Dunhill, Nina Ricci, Givenchy, Calvin Klein and Samsonite, among others. More »

3. Changi Airport

Singapore's airport a shopper's delight, offering items ranging from convenience stores to luxury boutiques. Some of the brands at the facility include Alfred Dunhill, Michael Kors, Lacoste, Swarvoski and Planet Toy. The airport also offers shops open 24 hours a day. And if you have at least a five-hour layover, go to the Singapore Visitors Center in any terminal and sign up for a free two-hour tour and get some more shopping in. More »

4. Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport

I know this one is a surprise, but I like the shopping choices here, especially in the MSP Airport Mall. The Authors Bookstore is one of my favorite airport shops ever, and there’s a nice balance of national and local brands, including Uptown Minnesota, Bose, Fly Babies by Radio Road and Gadgets to Go.More »

5. Vancouver International Airport

This airport is just a delight to be in, and that includes the shopping options. La Cava del Cigarro sells gourmet foods and has a great selection of cigars. Other great retail outlets include Thinking Canada, Brooks Brothers, Everything Under $20, Kids Works and Victoria's Secret.  Although not shopping per se, Vancouver International also has the Plaza Premium Lounges, which feature a place to nap, eat and shower.More »

6. San Francisco International Airport

I love airports that offer a sense of place in their food and retail, and San Francisco -- my original hometown airport -- is one of the best on the planet doing this. I have many fond memories of browsing the books at plane models at Aviator News and Books. Other retail outlets worth a look are 100% Pure (organic beauty items), Collector art store, Pacific Outfitters and the SFMOMA Museum Store.More »
