My Home Away From Home!

The best place to start is at the beginning so here goes.
On April 11, 2003 my husband and I went out to dinner at a very nice restaurant on a Friday night.
This was a pretty regular thing for us to do.
I had noticed some changes in my husband and he seemed to be growing distant from me.
Dinner was quite and I knew we were going to talk later at home.
Once we got home I got into comfortable clothes my husband got into jeans and he seemed anxious.
We sat on the couch and I asked him what was going on and he turned to me and said he wanted a divorce and that we had grown apart.
I was pretty much destroyed and called my Mom who came over as I cried the tears I thought I would never have to shed.
I have had times for growth in my life but this was totally unexpected.
I called friends and asked for the help I needed.
There is one friend who suggested that join a health club and then I would have some place to go after work.
I didn't realize what a great suggestion it was until I did just that.
I was truly an empty nester as the only children I had were step-children and they pretty much went away with the dad.
The discovery of the working out made my life full for the time being and very typically I lost weight very quickly and wasn't sleeping.
Working out was a great way for me to get past the pain and loneliness.
I have met many people at he health club and even have gotten a little closer to my step-children again.
I have come a long way from the date of April 11, 2008.
I work out 5 days a week which, includes cardio and lifting.
I am truly an advocate of exercise as it brings so much good to to the body, mind and spirit.
I am always inspired by those who take the time out to take care of themselves in this way.
When someone asks how are you I can honestly say it is the best day of my life.
