- The Bureau of Labor Statistics states that the average salary of a facilities supervisor in the United States was $58,660 as of May 2009. On the salary scale, supervisors in the 10th percentile earned less than $23,980 annually, and those in the 25th percentile earned less than $33,900. The median salary was $48,460, with supervisors in the 75th percentile earning over $71,450 and those in the 90th percentile earning over $104,400.
- The two industries with the most employed facilities supervisors as of 2009 were those with activities related to real estate and lessors of real estate, where the bureau reports supervisors earned respective annual average salaries of $56,050 and $51,740. Supervisors working in the offices of real estate agents and brokers earned an average of $59,940 a year, and those working for the local government earned an average of $61,960. Business, professional, labor and political organizations also employed facilities supervisors for the average salary of $53,930 annually.
- According to the bureau, facilities supervisors in Nassau-Suffolk, New York earned the highest salary average in the nation as of 2009 at $96,340 annually. Those in Rochester and New York City also earned higher than averages wages at $90,850 and $89,470, respectively. The Bethesda-Frederick-Gaithersburg area of Maryland ranked fourth with a salary average of $86,430, followed by Albany-Schenectady-Troy, New York at $86,030 annually.

Supervisors can seek higher wages managing buildings or properties in industries with more competitive job opportunities; for example, the bureau reports that facilities supervisors working for wired telecommunications carriers earned an average of $116,890 as of 2009, and those working for newspaper, periodical, book and directory publishers earned an average of $117,510 a year.
