How to Care for Bonded Leather
- 1). Wipe down the couch every two weeks with a damp, clean cloth. This will remove surface grime that gets into the bonded leather's pores.
- 2). Dust the crevices and seems of the bonded leather every two weeks as well. You may either use a vacuum or dry cloth for this task.
- 3). Clean spills whenever they occur by first blotting the food or liquid and then gently wiping it with a damp cloth. Do not use soap or abrasive cleaners as this may dry your leather. If a spill stains use a specially formulated leather cleaner.
- 4). Apply a leather conditioner twice a year. Follow the directions on the package as each brand differs. This will help keep the bonded leather malleable and help keep it attached to its backing.
