If you're the sort of person that is always late, or forgets something, or just generally isn't very organised, then perhaps you're the same when it comes to airline travel, or your summer holiday.
Here's how you can get organised, so that you have everything you need before your next flight don't have to panic on the day you fly.
1.
You'll need to ensure that you have plenty of time to get to the airport on the day you travel.
Depending on the day, and the time of day you travel, the roads or trains might be very busy.
You won't want to miss your flight, or delay your summer holiday because you set off too late.
2.
It's essential that you make sure your passport is in date.
Depending on where you're flying to, you might need to have several years left on your passport.
It's a good idea to check as soon as you've book your flights, so that you have plenty of time to get your passport renewed if you need to.
Don't forget that it will take longer at peak times, such as during the summer.
3.
As well as your passport, you'll need to make sure that you have your tickets and any other travel documentation you need.
If you've booked online, then you might have to print out your tickets or booking confirmation yourself.
You'll need to check the website you booked from, and your email to find out what you need to do.
4.
If you're going somewhere exotic, then you're likely to need vaccinations to guard against specific illnesses.
You'll need to make sure that you have these far enough in advance for them to be effective.
If you're not sure what you need, why not speak to your doctor, or see if there is more information on relevant travel websites? 5.
Don't forget to book your accommodation too.
If you're booking flights and accommodation, rather than a package holiday, you'll want to make sure that you can easily get to your hotel from the airport.
Is there a bus or train, or will you be better off with a hire car or taxi? 6.
You'll want to make sure that your luggage is appropriate and that you have enough of it.
If you're going for a weekend away, you'll be able to just take a large bag, but if you're going for a family summer holiday for a fortnight, you'll need large suitcases.
7.
Why not book your car hire in advance, perhaps when you book your flights and accommodation? You'll save time and money by organising your transport before you fly.
8.
It's a good idea to arrange your currency before you fly too.
Although you'll probably be able to use your debit and credit card abroad, you might be charged a premium for this.
If you have currency, you'll be able to pay for your taxi, or bus and any other extras you might need on arrival, without needing to find a bank first.
9.
By booking your airport car parking space in advance, you'll save time and money.
In addition, you'll also know that you have a parking space, and where it is.
You won't need to panic about not being able to find somewhere to park when you arrive at the airport.
10.
Because you'll have got so organised in advance, by the time you've checked in, you'll have plenty of time for last minute shopping.
You might want a new camera for your holiday, a magazine for your children to read the flight, or a meal before you fly.
Now you know how you can save time before your next flight, you'll never need to be in a rush, or worry that you've forgotten something before your next flight.
