Extra Income, Financial Wellness and How to Achieve it

103 4
As we have discussed in previous articles, The Financial Wellness Axiom is the sum of two components, the first being a mindset for savings.
An attitude of reducing the outgo for every budget item in your household.
And the second is earning an extra income for your family.
The two factors, combined are capable of bringing a dramatic change to your finances.
Properly implemented, an increase of $600-$800 a month, can be realized with minimal effort.
If we take a closer look, this increase in income is derived from: 1) across the board savings in monthly expenses (with a little practice $200-$300 can be accomplished without extreme sacrifice), 2) combining an added income source (a part time job or preferably, monetizing a hobby or a passion) will have you working with more dollars in your checking account.
For those with the guts to exercise their self-reliant muscles, the next few years could bring a sea-change in the way many Americans will provide for their families in the future.
With the depressed job market and soaring unemployment, self-reliance is poised to make a return, not seen since the start of the Industrial Revolution.
I predict we'll be witness to entrepreneurs, in numbers like never before, start small business enterprises to begin restoring lost income.
And that gets us to the main topic of the article, "Businesses You Can Start for Around $500!" Some of you are probably saying, "What REAL business can I start for $500?" There's ten opportunities here and I'll be bringing you more in the weeks ahead.
When people hear of someone starting a new business, they envision high start-up cost, which is true for many new businesses.
But there are MANY that don't, and these will be the focus of our attention.
To keep initial cost affordable, a new business should be run out of the home.
Also, you're more apt to put more time into the critical start-up period, if you're running it from your residence.
The types of opportunities are varied, in fact, the only commonality is the low start-up cost.
You may be asking yourself this question: "What type of business would I want to jump in to?" But before deciding, you would be smart to examine a few important factors that will help with your decision: 1) community needs 2) your skills and talents developed over the years 3) identify your hobbies 4) take inventory of possible resources you already possess 5) most importantly, it must be something you love doing.
The key, in many cases will be what it is, you enjoy doing, sharpening your knowledge so, with solid preparation, research and practice, you'll be set to begin monetizing (get paid for) your passion.
Some enjoy cooking and baking, others have a love for arts and crafts, or imported goods.
Still others would love running a small manufacturing business out of their garage, or their interest might be in the service industry.
This is only a partial list of the interest, industrious individuals can convert in to a marketable product.
Find what interest you, research and prepare.
You need to be realistic and not expect these endeavors to make you super wealthy.
But consistent improvements in both product knowledge and your growth as business owner, will provide a nice income.
And no one really knows how far or how much you can make in your business.
You very well could make loads of money! and that would be fabulous! Let's look at the first ten opportunities: 1.
