Natural stones are a good element to integrate into a garden.
Decorating with stones offers great variety and flexibility as you can make very nice designs that with the proper placement and selection of plants and flowers will remain a true corner.
Is important to look after gardens, to embellish them and enjoy them, appreciate them without having the risk of damaging the grass and crops.
Rocks are intended to protect the lawn from the constant footsteps or to beautify the garden.
Depending on the style that you use in your garden, stones are used differently, for example: In the gardens that have a rustic style, rustic stone masonry walls are used.
In modern gardens you can use stones with pebbles of different materials such as granite or marble that will help secure flowerbeds.
In the gardens with an oriental style is essential the use of stones, that combine large and small stones, causing a beautiful visual image.
There are several types of rocks you can use.
You can use gravel.
Gravel can be plain or with decorations.
The best thing to do is to surround the colorful flowers with the simple stones and the gravel that is decorated next to the herbs that don't have bright flowers or next to shrubs.
To avoid a slippery surface is better to use rough stones.
Tourmaline is another of the most widely used stones for rock gardening.
This rock is called "chameleon rock" because it has a variety of tones and colors.
Such stones can create clean borders and shapes to achieve dramatic effects.
Another example is the White Crushed Stone, as it is ideal for placing on the edges of flower beds, swimming pools or paths that you may have in your garden.
They are also used to surround the bottom of lanterns or implements that illuminate either the garden torches or lamps; it gives an aesthetic finish and is really beautiful.
Quartz is another example.
This stone is very popular among people because they are said to have energetic properties.
Another one is the smoky quartz that has a grayish brown and people say is an excellent medium for protection against bad luck.
Everyone's favorite is the blue quartz which virtues are attributed to the blockade of envy and jealousy.
The quartz also absorbs harmful radiation emitted by electronic devices such as televisions, computers, cell phones, among others.
These stones for gardens are perfect due to their color, beauty and because of their different types and sizes.
As you can see there are several types of rocks you can chose from to make a rock herb garden.
In the end it's all a matter of taste.
Just remember to prepare the ground so that it is smooth and without unevenness before putting the actual rocks.
