Contrary to popular beliefs, you do not have to go through hell and high water just to get rid of loose weight after pregnancy.
Those extra fats you have gained throughout the course of pregnancy is not permanent.
But of course, you cannot do it just by lounging in your couch and snacking on potato chips all day.
It does not have to be difficult but it needs your cooperation as well.
Step 1: Tone your muscles especially the muscles around your middle.
While you are waiting for the laundry to finish, do this simple exercise: get a chair and place it on your right side.
Hold the chair with your right hand and place your left hand on your waist.
Slowly stretch your left leg sideways until it almost reaches hip level.
Hold that position for a few seconds and slowly lower your leg to its original position.
Do the same with your other leg.
You can find similar activities like this online and on fitness magazines.
They are not that difficult to do, plus you can do them even when you are doing your daily chores.
Step 2: Be educated as to the right food to eat.
It does not even have to be tasteless food all the time.
You can still eat delicious foods as long as you prepare it in a healthier manner.
For example, instead of buying meat 5 days in a week, incorporate more sea foods and chicken or turkey.
Buy lean meat if you must have red meat.
For dessert, you can substitute cream with yogurt or use one part cream and one part yogurt.
Step 3: Don't be too hard on yourself.
Overly exercising can lead to excessive food craving.
People who exercise too much feel the need to eat the food they like as a reward for their efforts.
30 minutes to one hour of exercise per day is already enough for you.
Step 4: Don't set too high goals.
If you want to have the body of a celebrity in under 6 months, forget it.
These celebrities have nutritionists, trainers, chefs under their employment and if you can afford all these, you can get that body you have been longing for but if not, cut yourself some slack and be more realistic about your expectations.
Step 5: Oprah once said "surround yourself with people who only lift you higher".
She is spot on when it comes to weight issues.
Make sure you have a support system around you.
They can encourage you not to waver in your dedication of losing weight.
