Bowling is a great idea for a 10-year-old's party because it's active and a little challenging. Many bowling alleys are willing to organize the party itself for you. Some kids and parents choose to make a bowling birthday party into a costume party, such as a '50s party. For children who aren't into costumes, it can be fun to focus on the turning-10 aspect by offering prizes whenever someone bowls a strike.

    Rock Climbing

Similar to bowling, there are facilities for rock climbing that are willing to host birthday parties. They also have the staff to make sure that the kids are safe and that they're engaged in the rock climbing. Party givers may assume that rock climbing is too difficult or that children will be scared on the wall. On the contrary, most children at this age love the challenge and the ability to boast about the number of walls they were able to climb.

A less expensive option is to have a slumber party. This may feel a little bit more chaotic since now a parent is in charge of the children rather than having the help of staff from staff at a facility. The key to a great slumber party is the games. Great slumber party games keep all the kids involved and have rewards for everyone. The games should be directed with enthusiasm and love, but be wary of designating a "winner" for each game, as this can be downer for many children.
