The Future of Network Marketing: Don"t Get Left Behind

The Network Marketing industry is going through the biggest change it has seen in its fifty year history. The innovative entrepreneurs who can clearly see the future of network marketing and capitalize on them will be the ones who dine on the fruits of their prosperity while the rest, some of whom are current market leaders, will be left fighting for table scraps with the tens of thousands of others.

The Basics of Network Marketing

The key to understanding the secret lies in understanding what makes the future of network marketing look so bright. The average American is subjected to over 5000 advertisements per day according to advertising firm Yankelovich, Inc., up from 500 per day in 1970, and that number increases daily. People have become desensitized to normal advertising and sales environments. This is the exact reason why network marketing will always be a successful business model. It is based on people selling to people. There are no advertising gimmicks, no psycho-persuasive tactics, and no high-priced commercials for people to ignore. In fact, most people don't even know they are being sold to; they think they are receiving a recommendation from a friend.

None of this is new, however, and anybody successful in network marketing will tell you the same. Gone are the days of living room pitches and parties, and in their place a new alternative. If a network marketer wanted to be truly successful, they would quickly realize that they only have a certain amount of friends and family to invite to these parties and they will quickly stop buying if they are constantly harassed. So where can you find friends in unlimited numbers from around the world? The answer is right in front of you.

A New Twist on an Old Idea

Online sites such as MySpace, Facebook, and Friendster offer unbelievable opportunities to network with thousands of prospects and become friends without meeting a single one of them. And don't stop there. There are hundreds, maybe even thousands, of sites that are similar to these, but are designed for a specific niche which may give you better results. You can find new friends by common interest, income level, location, groups, age, gender, and more. If you tap into this resource you will find an unlimited amount of prospects and leads for your network marketing business, but only if you do it correctly. If you do it incorrectly, you will ruin your reputation quickly and find that you will not be able to sell anything to anybody ever again.

The important aspect of networking on these sites is NOT to sell to your prospects. Don't even think of them as prospects: think of them as friends. Truly make friends with them and learn who they are. It helps if you find people that have the same hobbies or beliefs that you do. Who knows, you may even find a new friend for life. While the specifics of how to market on these sites are beyond the scope of this article, go set up a specific profile for your business (separate from your personal profile) today. Fortune always favors those who act first.

The Glaringly Bright Future Ahead

The future of network marketing is extremely bright. Warren Buffet, one of the world's richest men, recently acquired The Pampered Chef, a network marketing company. Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki have both professed their belief in the network marketing business model. Obviously these three men see a bright future in the network marketing industry and are willing to place their fortunes, time, and reputation on it.
So go forth and take advantage of the new era of network marketing before the opportunity is no longer there. You'll be glad you did.
