• Some traditional means of locating a used truck is to simply visit a dealership and request that it check the inventory for the type of truck that you are seeking. However, many dealerships won't necessarily have a wide variety of "beater" trucks in stock. • Price is going to largely depend on three things: the location where you are buying, the condition of the vehicle and millage on the truck. If you search for a used Chevy Silverado you can find trucks listed for as low as $2,025 and as high as $30,000.
  
  

Completing the Sale

• If you purchase your used truck from a dealership, it will walk you through the process and have you sign the necessary documents to complete the sale. If you purchase from a private party, then you will need to do this yourself. Every state differs in what is required so it would be best to speak with a representative at your local Department of Motor Vehicles to determine what is needed. Most often the sale is finalized with money transfers between the two parties and the title is signed and transferred.
