Organizing A Fun Bridal Party

Bridal showers are one of the many traditional pre-wedding parties. The purpose of a bridal shower is for the bride to get together with her friends and family to eat, play games, and basically just enjoy herself before her wedding day. It is the custom for friends and family to give the bride and blessings during this occasion. This is usually where the bride gets stuff like sleepwear, linen and accessories to accompany her into her marriage.

It can be very exciting to organize a bridal shower for your friend. You just need to carefully organize and plan the affair so you won't encounter any problems. Creating a shower checklist will help you on your way to organizing a great party.

Your first concern should be who will agree to be the host of the celebration? The normal choice would be the maid of honor, but that's not imperative, it could be anyone as long as it's okay with the bride.

Your second concern should be the date of the bridal shower. Ideally, it should be held at least a month before the wedding, because the bride will be busy as the wedding date draws near. There's no specific time when it should be held, it can be early like brunch or later on in the day like dinner.

The third question who's coming? A comfortable shower usually includes 10-20 people. You would want to limit the crowd to people you are close to and really know. Bring out your creative genius by making customized invitations for the party.

Another thing to consider is your theme. You can choose a theme that would reflect the bride's likes and favorites. The theme can then be incorporated in the decorations, food, favors, and invitations.

Games are a great way to have interaction where everyone can get to know each other. So choose games that can encourage everyone to participate. Prepare party favors as a sign of appreciation to the guests. Again, it doesn't have to be expensive. A pretty little package should be enough.

No matter how much effort and time you've invested in planning the bridal shower, once you've seen the smile and laughter in the bride's face and guests, then it's all worth the effort! This is a chance for the bride to enjoy and have a good time before her big day.
