After more than 25 years on television, Larry King is hanging up his microphone and moving on to relative retirement. His last Larry King Live airs Thursday, December 16.

Here's a look back at 5 Memorable Moments from LKL:

1. Larry Interviews Chris Brown

After singer Chris Brown was arrested for allegedly assaulting pop star Rihanna in winter 2009, Brown sat down with King to discuss the incident. It was September - and the first time Brown spoke publicly about the incident since his arrest. Most agree that Brown looked remorseful. "I made a mistake and that's just something I have to live up to and own up to. And change and become a better person," he said.

2. Carrie Prejean Calls Larry Inappropriate

When former Miss USA runner-up Carrie Prejean joined King for an interview in 2009, she must have assumed certain topics would be off limits - like her anti-gay marriage stance and her dismissal from the Miss USA organization (it considered "certain pictures" Prejean took a breach of contract). When King asked repeated questions about those topics, Prejean deemed King "inappropriate." To show here disappointment, she removed her ear piece and microphone (she was "via satellite") and sat still without saying a word.

3. King Gives the O.J. Car Chase Play-by-Play

In 1994, King was on air when he was told that helicopters in L.A. had picked up video footage of O.J. Simpson's now infamous white Bronco cruising down the highway. King cut to the footage - then continued giving rapt viewers the play-by-play for more than two hours, before Simpson surrendered at his Brentwood home.

4. Seinfeld Asks King “Do You Know Who I Am?”

King was chatting with comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who was promoting his 2007 animated film Bee Movie, when King decided to ask whether his TV show, Seinfeld, was cancelled by the network. Seinfeld, visibly taken aback by the question, responded by saying, "Do you even know who I am?" King assured him he did, but Seinfeld went on. "There's a big difference between No. 1 show and being cancelled. Can we get a resume in here for Mr. King to review?"

5. The Chairman and The King

In 1988, King had the opportunity to interview Frank Sinatra, the Chairman of the Board. Sinatra was open about his willingness to chat and prodded King by telling him that every interviewer do his homework. He admitted, too, to butterflies and stage fright, even after so many years performing live to countless audiences.
