Want to Look Younger? - Overcome HGH (Human Growth Hormone) Deficiency

Imagine a scenario where you walk past a person who appears to be in his forties or early fifties.
He walks briskly with an upright posture.
You may not pay attention to him or his style - just take it for granted that he is another average citizen, and, continue on your way.
Just then someone tells you that he is in his late sixties! You will surely turn around and take a seconds look at that person - "wow, he looks so much younger!" you are sure to exclaim.
Give credit to his growth hormone (or the adequacy of the growth hormone).
Given a choice, who would not like stay "young" irrespective of the chronological age? Aging - Hows and Whys Knowing how the body ages will help us understand what we can do to retain that youthfulness as long as possible.
Our body produces (human) growth hormone (HGH for short) that stimulates all round growth, cell multiplication / reproduction and regeneration of worn out cells.
Until the 30s, the production of this hormone is at its optimum taking care of daily necessities of the body; the production begins to decrease as we grow older.
The rate of decrease differs from individual to individual and is very much dependent on his life style (which includes dietary habits) and his environment.
One exception is genetic deficiency that leads to growth disorder(s).
This is normally evident from childhood; the doctors treat this using growth hormone as prescription drug.
HGH Deficiency - Causes During early adulthood, the body looks after the overall growth and successfully makes up for wear and tear on day-to-day basis; the body appears to be taking care of itself well and we do not see the necessity of doing anything to avoid possible HGH deficiency as we age.
We feel that all is well in the body.
This is, in reality, a false sense of security that blinds most of us; we not deem it necessary to invest in ensuring that the gland (the pituitary gland situated in the brain) that produces the HGH continues to remain healthy and active.
In fact, we may not even have any thought in this regard - that is, until we notice crease lines appearing on our skin.
First Sign of Wrinkle(s) - Can it be Delayed? This brings us back to the first paragraph of this article.
Yes, aging can be delayed - it is possible to be much younger despite advancing age.
Staying Young Even as You Age We need to take measures to ensure that the body maintains its youthful traits as long as possible.
Amazingly, all that we need to do is take certain simple steps that will ensure that the body does not suffer from HGH deficiency - and most of these do not even infringe upon your working hours or busy day-to-day schedules! Make small tweaks (discussed below) in your routine; in the later part of your life you will find that the cumulative effect of your "small tweaks" is huge - so huge that perhaps, you may find yourself to be the "youngest" and most agile among many others in your age group.
Adequate Sleep Production of HGH in the body is as its peak during sleep.
When you don't get enough sleep, your body's production of growth hormone slows; try to ensure that you get at least eight hours of sleep each night - this is optimum and works best for all round body functions.
Physically Active There is no doubt that exercises help you look younger while giving agility to the body.
A physically active person has better hormonal functions (including production of HGH) than a person following sedentary lifestyle.
Diet - Include Fruits and Vegetables Fruits and vegetables are packed with antioxidants which play an important part in keeping each of the body's cells working at their best.
Less of antioxidants mean more of harmful free radicals in the body.
One visible result of this condition is rapid aging (read this as "wrinkling") of the skin.
Water Drink at least eight glasses of water daily.
Corollary - one should minimize consumption of products like coffee, alcohol and other diuretics to avoid dehydrating effect, especially on the skin.
Other Precautions Smoking weakens the immune system of the body thereby encouraging the growth of cancerous cells.
Similarly, too much exposure to the sun can also be harmful for the skin.
Take remedial measures as early as possible.
