Unless you have been living in a remote cave, you have probably heard of the website eBay.
This site catapulted to fame several years ago and has made many a seller rich.
Even for those people who have not retired from their eBay fortunes, they still make a good income each and every month selling items on the site.
One such group are people called consignors.
These people simply sell items for other people on eBay.
A lot of people do not think about this business option, but in reality it can be a fantastic way to make some extra money.
If you know how to maneuver the eBay system (or can learn), you are light years ahead of many other people who are too scared to even try.
Some people feel like the task of listing items on eBay is way too daunting or they just do not have the time to do it.
This is where you come in! Basically, you advertise your services locally to people you know at first.
Tell them you have an eBay business and that you also sell for others.
Be prepared to be BOMBARDED with customers! However, not every customer is a good one.
Not everything sells on eBay.
You must do some research so that you do not get stuck with other people's junk in your garage for months on end.
You then decide what percentage you want to charge people.
There is a line that you must be above to cover your own fees, of course, so make sure you study eBay's current pricing structure before you jump into the business.
For instance, let's assume your total costs for an item are 18%.
You might want to charge 35% to make a good profit.
So, on a $100 item, you would make about $17 after fees.
This also means you might want to have a minimum value on items so you are not selling things to make $5 here and there!
