How to Remove Wax From Dyed Clothing

    • 1). Get off as much of the wax as you can. Scrape the dyed clothing repeatedly with a dull edge, such as a butter knife or plastic spoon.

    • 2). Place a paper towel on top of the wax stain.

    • 3). Hover a hot iron over the paper towel. Slowly press the iron onto the paper towel, and hold it there for a few seconds.

    • 4). Lift the paper towel to examine it. You should see that some of the wax has come off your dyed clothing and onto the paper towel.

    • 5). Replace with a new paper towel, and repeat the ironing process. Continue this method until the wax has been removed.

    • 6). Put a prewash stain remover on the wax spot on your dyed clothing, and wash the article normally to completely remove all wax remnants.
