    • 1). Blot rubbing alcohol directly onto the stain with a clean, white cloth. Do not rub the stain vigorously as this will spread the marker stain and make it more apparent. Continue this process until the stain no longer transfers to the cloth.

    • 2). Spray WD-40 directly onto the stain. Let it sit for five minutes.

    • 3). Scrub the stain gently with a toothbrush, working from the outside of the marker stain toward the inside to make sure it doesn't spread.

    • 4). Dab acetone onto the stain if you can still see it. Work until you remove all of it.

    • 5). Apply a dollop of toothpaste to the stain if it is still visible.

    • 6). Brush the toothpaste into the down until the stain is gone.

    • 7). Blot the area with a water-soaked cloth to remove the cleaning solution residue.

    • 8). Dry the comforter completely.
